Bleeding Cooling System

No just had to drain it to replace tensioner and decided to replace all coolant and t/stat. I never moved to valve since new it's always been on. I haven't driven it yet since work performed. I read somewhere that you wont get anything out of that bleeder which didn't make sense to me but I don't remember where I read it for further reference.
Thought I would continue this post rather than start a new one.

Unless I'm not understanding you, that valve is not a bleeder, but rather when opened allows coolant to flow through the carbs. Have a pic to post?

when we changed the coolant on rx sleds back in the day, never bled the carb line, only the bleeder at the back and topped off reservoir on the next few rides as it still had a few air pockets even with proper bleeding.

Confused, Sorry I don't have a pic sled is up north but there is a bleeder on the top of the valve that the manual references.
Maim, Yeah I slowly filled and bled both my sleds that way. Did you overheat with those issues or did you just have to adjust the level?
Thanks for your input guys!

just adjusted the level when cold before the ride mel. did not overheat ever from that.

Thanks for the info We'll have to wait for some snow now.
