i have an 09 rtx se i was out riding today and blew the head light fuse twice. Does anyone know what else besides the head lights are on that circuit? the entire sled was dead until i replaced the fuse

was your yamaheater install plug and play or hard wired...wondering if the 12v tap was made into the headlight circuit and is overloading

Hmmm, a good theory there sj. I know that for my install, I had to change out the fuse for a higher amperage. Did you remember to install the stronger fuse dirk?

Yes, good theory Steve except the previous owner had this problem and the Yamaha heater was installed by Jason.

My guess is the voltage regulator....

hmmm I believe I was told Joe haack put it on for him...

and the previous owner's problem was with the throttle not his?

I didn't mean Jason installed it personally rather he had it installed after he purchased it. And he confirmed the previous owner blew fuses and the dealer couldn't find anything wrong.

By the way Stevie; why aren't you up here??

In lame terms.... It means he is still tinkering...

I seem to remember the fuse needed to change with the yamaheater install was a 15a if it was sent without the inline fuse that mounts on the hot side..?

Any guess's as to what sled was the one broken down??
