FYI, I had to cut my TY ride short this week in NY because I toasted another blue wheel off of my track. This is the second time in two weeks that a blue wheel has come apart. I am using the blue spoked wheels from Yamaha. Has anyone else had this problem? I am putting the sled in the shop today to put on the ugly black stock wheels. I think that since the wheels are only one month old, that Yamaha should cover them, the dealer says no. At least I will not be stranded again.

I lost a right side front wheel after only 50 miles of easy riding. Now have 1200 miles with no other problems

Hey Boston. Glad you got back ok. They showed on the news last night that Parish, NY got 46" in 24 hours, at one point the got 22 in 4 hours. Looks like it's still snowing there too. Probably a good thing you left when you did. It was a long drive home. I'm heading back up tomorrow. 8)

Monker, after waiting for my ride for two hours, someone told me that there was a new yamaha shop across the street. I went over and there it was. By that time you guys were long gone. I wished I could have stayed one more day. I would have loved to have broken some trails. We will hook again soon. I had a blast.

had them on my srx and now have the stock ones back on toasted 4 of them so far just the small idlers i think it is when ur slides get worn it puts to much pressure on them and they break apart. We have them on the rx-1 too but as soon as them are gone we wont buy any more
I just ordered a set for a friend for his viper , he tosted 2 and only has 1000kms + on his sled
I think they are junk( look better though)

Its funny you bring this up!! I had installed all 6 blue boggy wheels from yamaha on my 02 viper.... and the front 4 wheels all went flat where the openings are!!
My dealer sent them in BUT LIKE YOU they SAID NO!!!
Some would say WELL THERE NOT MADE BY YAMAHA as a excuse but i say that is just B.S.

Welterracer, they were made by Yamaha, at least they say Yamaha. I purchased them from a Yamaha dealer. I guess buying a new sled and getting it decked out for the first time with no history, I am bound to be the guinea pig. I am just glad it won't cost a ton of money to put the black wheels back on. All it really costed me was 1/2 of riding in perfect conditions with a bunch of great guys who ride a great brand of sled.

When I bought my sled part of the deal was to match the front idlers to colour of the back. The ones installed were solid with the same colour scheme of the rear wheels. They have held up fine thus far (1800 miles)
