Looking for some pics of how to run wiring and hose for boost and AFR gauges. I'll be mounting them in cups on either side of my main gauge pod. I'd like easily accessible disconnects to make it easy to take the hood off.

Thanks,
Ryan

You'll need to run the boost line to the intake manifold. Where there is a nipple and the O2 sensor wire runs from sensor to the gauge. For simplicity I shortened my wires from about 8' to 3'. Other tham that all you'll need is a keyed 12v and ground. I used a quick disconnect that goes to the cigarette lighter for easy dosassembly.

I drilled 2 holes on the dash and a dremel tool to make a slot large enough for the wiring and my hood removal requires one boost hose off the manifold nipple and disconnection of the O2 pigtail from the senaor. Takes 2 minutes.

I brought my wiring up through the round gauge sized holes in the black plastic under the colored hood into the area under the vented screen panel in front of the steering post. I then notched that vent panel on either side of the gauge pod and tucked the wires under the pod and up to the back side of it.

Sorry you cannot see them here but it is very stealth and easy to get at to unplug when removing the hood. You can barely see the wires just below the H in Yamaha.

I mounted mine up above the stock instrument panel. Bolted a bracket to the hood, drilled a hole to run the plugs up through. You can see my gauges from ahead so it's not really stealth (and my filter sticks out lol).

I also installed a couple quick connects at my 12v cigarette lighter, which gives power to both my gauges. Been working great this way for 3 seasons.

Who's turbo kit are you using? Most people are T'ing into the vacuum lines which come from the back side of the throttle bodies. That way you are seeing how much boost the cylinders are getting.

I have the MPI 190 kit installed by a dealer. I like the ideas so far. I also like using the 12V outlet as a power source. I like the idea of connectors at the outlet, might have to try find some.

The beauty of this forum is we can do the looking for you lol. I'll happily share my parts list as all the materials I got were high quality and I'm happy. Good waterproof quick connects are cheap on amazon. Don't forget some heat shrinks!

I went with a single gauge, (aem 30-4900) in a cheap holder like this.

I like the setup! The holder connects via adhesive an requires some careful attention for a good connection but I like it. One knock on the gauge is the outer ring is not lit but I have handguard lights so I can see at night. Good luck!
