Hi Guys!!, first post here. Have been watching the site for a long time learning. Bought a 2003 RX1 with lots of mods this summer (Thanks Greenmachine), and purchased a Boss Nos kit for it (40hp). Lots of expierience moding 2 strokes, not much with 4's or NOS.
Was wondering if there were any conclusions drawn since last year with the placement of the bottle and the best location for it. (Nozzle up/down, back/forward)? Where is the best location you have found for the bottle?

hey tnt welcome. i have the boss noss kit too
i modified the tool kit/storage spot for a bottle. try to get it as flat a possible. acceleration will draw the noss out.
now i have 2 bottles mounted to the bracket for steering stem.
sorry no pics of this, it up north.
i do have a couple of the bottle up front though. junkie

Thanks for your welcome and input yamahajunkie, would also like to see this mount. Is there any surging with the bottle valve up?, can you completely empty the bottle this way?

first bottle had a little left in it when i pulled it to refill. not much though. so i moved the bottle towards the motor, and put some spacers on the bottom clamp to lift the bottom of the bottle. you cant get flat totally, and clear the hood. but if your hooking up the front end is up, then the bottle flat, and your launching pass somebody. junkie
Have fun with the Nos!!

Is there room for a four pound bottle in your opinion? I have a BOSS NOSS setup ordered (have for quite some time) and I'd like to use one larger bottle instead of two 2 1/2 lb. bottles.
How about mounting it horizontally above the motor?
