I'm installing a new Boss seat onto my 2008 Apex MTX. It does'nt want to fit quit right, has anybody else come across this. Seems like you have to trim the plastic side piece on the tank. I've got it on there know but the top corners of the seat keep popping out from under the plastic. Any input or help before I start to hack up my sled would be appreciated

Same exact problem on an RX-1 a few years ago. Did not put one on my Apex for this reason. We did two of them on Rx-1's and had to cut/trim to make it fit.

The Boss hi-rise I got for my Vector didn't have buttons that lined up in the same place on either side of the tunnel.

There was some fitting problems with the one I put on my RX-1 but if I remember right the instructions said to modify the seat itself with a heat gun. The foam material on the underside will melt with direct heat applied and I customized it, very slowly, that way until I got a perfect fit. Like somebody else said, I'd call Boss directly.
The other thing to watch out for is the nomex blanket they send you for covering the muffler is useless. Get a couple of pieces of foil covered foam insulating material and you'll be much happy than having a hot butt and having to re-do everything.

Never had any experience with them but the Boss was absolutely the best investment I ever made for the RX-1. Even made the ProNoAction suspension ride semi-O.K.

I know that now, but will make this work. Shitty thing was bought over e-bay and never kept track of any recieptes (dum #*$&@). When they sent it to me the instructions where for a stock exhaust system and the seat is a tunnel dump. So much for the instruction. It wasn't from Boss niether, can't remeber who. So thats is where that is. When I was looking at pictures of different sleds on here some had Boss and they looked like they fit pretty good. Live and learn I guess.
