When you overdrive, you ADD weight to the primary in order to force it to shift all the way. If you remove weight, you accomplish nothing.

Well I changed the bottom gear out for a 40 tooth. No problem pressing the bearing into the gear. I am guessing I may have to throw a little more weight at the primary now. What have others found when you geared down? I currently have an Ulmer stage 2 kit with about 72 grams (1 tungsten and 2 washers in the heel.
