Does anyone know what the largest bottom (axle end) gear is that will work in a stock RX1 Mountain chain case?
I think the biggest bottom gear is 40t and its stock. You could go to a 20 or 19t top gear for added torque 21t is stock. You will have to go down to a 68 link chain to do this 70 link is stock. I checked the gear ratio charts and yes the 40t is the largest bottom gear and you can go down to a 18t,19t or 20t top gear but you have to change the chain to a 68 link to do it.

You can fit a 43 tooth with some modification. I have a 42 tooth bottom gear and a 19 tooth top gear with a 68 link chain. The gears and chain are not yamaha brand as they dont have a 42 tooth gear. I dont know where I got them but if memory serves me they are a hyvo set.
