That is good to know that they are rebuildable. Did you end up taking the measurements to see if it would fit? The original on mine is 16 3/4" from center bolt hole to the other center bolt hole.yes the apex xtx rear shock is rebuildable. the 2011 origional is on its 3rd round atm and is ready for its fourth as i can tell the nitrogen pressure is down on it when i get to ride it anyways. gf rides it most of the time.

I am going to wait until summer time before I buy the xtx shock. I just have to live with a little bottoming out for the rest of the season, just have to take it easy on trail riding on the big bumps. If it was the beginning of the season I would be buying a shock ASAP, but since it is towards the end/ I have a second sled I can ride, I will just wait. That is good info to know though, thanks!!Call Barn of parts he has some I just redid.

Are you guys talking about the adjustable rear gas shock? I was wondering about mine, do I turn it in or out for hard suspention?

The original post is about my Apex mountain rear shock, and if a apex xtx shock would work. The OEM stock shock on it, is steel, so once it is no good (which it is no good) you throw it out and have to buy a new one. That is why I want to put the Apex xtx rear shock in it, as it aluminum (rebuildable, has compression adjustments). Are you guys talking about the adjustable rear gas shock? I was wondering about mine, do I turn it in or out for hard suspention?
