Hey guys, I brought her home on Monday nite and am embarassed to say I haven't had a chance to ride her yet!!! She is siting in the garage with .1 miles on it next to my wifes Fusion feeling neglected. I am planning on going for a short ride tonite just to try to get used to it a bit and maybe do some suspension adjustments before I go out witht he group this weekend. Anything I should be aware of/ look for??? Thank you in adavnce, looks like there is allot of knowledge here hope to learn as much as I can!

Hey deer hunter, how many bambies you blast this year?? In my area it was a slaughter fest. Anyway, what sled are you coming off? You should like the sled if you like sheer arm pulling power and throwing it around the ditch's and rough trails. The RTX has teeth jittering suspension if you ride relaxed and easy.
Things you should plan on doing soon are.
1. Change the moderator edit ski's
2. Play with suspension setting's
3. If its the black one, remove the gross sticker package cause its uglier then christ
4.change the front end plastic a arm bushings for brass/oilite bushings from ulmer - this is typicall for all brands- after the first year these will be shot - grab the upper a arm and try and move it back and forth when off the ground this will tell you if it needs doing
5. go to the gym and work on your arm stregth cause your gonna need it just to hold on during blast off.

Congrats on your purchase bud! I snowchecked my very first Yammi this spring too! An XTX in blue!! My God, what a machine! I went on my first ride this weekend up at my brother in laws cabin and let me tell you that of all the sleds I've owned(all Poo) and ridden this thing is one different animal! I mean this all in a good way! The power on this machine is absolutely UnGodly, I've never felt anything pull like this! I had an 02 Polaris 800 Edge before that I had dialed in pretty decent with clutching and other stuff and there is no way in hell it would have stayed with this thing @ lift off! It may have got there on top end but I've never felt my arms stretch this much on a sled! It's AWESOME! I only have 150km's on this sled yet so I'm being quite gentle with the break in(I'm not hard on machines anyway) so the motor will prolly loosen up quite a bit yet! The rider comfort is second to none. The rider forward positioning is spot on and extremely comfortable and not once did I feel even a little bit fatigued! Moving from side to side in the corners is absolutely effortless and the sit to stand transition is the easiest I've felt on any machine! There seem to be a lot of negative nit picking threads on here and everybody has their own opinions but I'll tell you one thing, every sled is going to have some things you don't like about it, that's just the nature of the beast. I am so happy I made this move and look forward to every mile I can put on it! I'll deal with the general maintenance and wear points just like I would on any other sled I would ride! If you enjoy it even half as much as I do you're gonna have a blast!!

I shot 5 this year, was lucky enough to pick up a Browning X Bolt in a 300 Win Mag last fall and it was a bit brutal what it does to deer, to say i didn't have to look for them was quite and understatement

I am coming off of a 06 Polaris Fusion 700 wich I still own and love. Rode an 03 REV before that so I am used to the rider forward thing. I rode it for the first time and am so far impressed, will post more detail in a post all it's own if you want to check it out. Will keep an eye on the suspension bushings thanks for the tip. I had some track ratcheting tonite, I need to tighten it up a bit I guess but it isn't even half as loose as I run my Fuse, guessing it's the nature of the beast. Wasn't getting very good hook up tonite and when it did the track slipped so am still unsure of it's grunt but it did feel snappy for sure. I will fall asleep tonite with the sweet sound of it's exhaust note in my head and a smile on my face, makes me feel all warm and fuzzy like a little kid on christmas! LOVE THE SOUND!!!!!
