Don't know why this did not post earlier but did anyone add the brake lever to their sled? Picking up my new Apex ER Sat. (first Yami) and was thinking I would have the brake lever added before I get there.
Or, maybe it is so easy to install,, a mechanical reject could do it (that would be me). Is it worth getting one?

Are you referring to the parking brake? Unlike Polaris Yamaha's come with it installed if thats what you mean. I had a 98 Pol that never had one!

Hooked brake lever?? Would be real easy unless there is loctite on the bolt

I have the hooked lever on order, but now that I have my GT, I kind of like the stocker. If I had it to do over again, I would probably save my money.

Hmm,

Maybe I will wait for the first ride or two then add it and compare.
Just a one bolt change over. Sounds like something I can do.

Thanks

Dave

I don't think it is a matter of how good the brakes are - it is when you ride a sled with hooked bars like the Apex's have you tend to hold on out on the hook with your left hand and when you go to reach for the brakes from there you can't reach the lever. I know when I demo rode the Apex sleds last spring that was one thing I walked away thinking was that the sleds needed a longer brake lever.
