I have the same problem with my 05 RX1 and 2000 SRX. The brake light stays on all the time. I tested the brake switch on the SRX and it seemed open. I thought when the brake was depressed the switch would close completing the circuit. Change the switch and same problem. Can some one tell me how to test the circuit?

Thanks Bruce

Chances are it's just the small switch on the bottom of your brake lever. It can get bumped and spin, thus keeping your brake light on.

Check the bulb its self. Sometimes one leg of the filliment will drop down and touch the lower wire causing the light to stay on all the time. My 2001 ski-doo did this once and it drove us all crazy until we found this problem out.. I'm assuming your sled has an 1157 bulb. 05 RS Vector ER.

Here is the poor man's fix - about $0.02.
