Been wanting to ask this since last March.

When I rode my Nytro last March my first trip approx 100 miles I noticed a noise when I apply the brakes. Sounds like my 2000 xc Polaris I used to own. It sounds like a resonance noise when the chain is contacting the tensioner as the chain goes slack during braking. I check the chain tension and set it per the owners manual. Turn finger tight and back off 1/2 turn.

Anyone else hear this type of noise.

Thanks

Did you also check the chain fluid level?

It could also mean that a bearing, or two, may be dried up too.

The fluid was fine.

I checked the tension on the chain when I first got the sled. The adjuster bolt seemed pretty far out from the factory. Took about two turns to go in. Then I backed it out 1/2 turn. Maybe I'll readjust and back out 1 full turn.
