I'm just getting ready to set up my 2020 X-TX LE and was thinking about adding more light for safety after dark.
What is everyone doing to upgrade their headlights or adding additional forward-mounted lights?

Rocztoyz HID
Still one of the best options on the market. HID over LED any day and any condition. Especially snow dust

I think the Winder has great stock headlights on it. They are already LED and bright. I've never heard any complaints when they are adjusted properly.

I've seen a few Winders with light bars across hood. It blinded me when he was approaching until he dimmed it. Don't know where he got it. Kind of ugly but BRIGHT.
Can always use more lumens with my aging eyes. LOL

I ran them on my A-arms for one year, until they got to shook up,and broke, but I bought cheap ones, and the place I mounted them was a bad idea,if I did it again,i would mount the longer bar to my front bumper, amazon has all kinds.I've seen a few Winders with light bars across hood. I have the lighted Handguards from Powermadd..they’re very bright and help out with extra lighting at night. And they look great imo.

The Sidewinder light is the WHOLE housing so HID's won't work. I've spoken to ROCK about this

The hand guard lights are nice, but do not go very far down trail

Gonna be honest...haven’t had any issues in the two seasons on my Winder seeing at night. Lights seem just fine to me. I know some folks find it tougher seeing at night...I’m not one of them..at least not yet?

I've ridden with LED's
I've ridden with HID's
I rode a 900T with more lights on it then a bunch of drunken rednecks jackin' deer from a pick up truck loaded with KC Highlighters
NOTHING lights up the trail like HID's!
LED's are very linear, meaning they lighten up only where the beam is, and they are BRIGHT, sometimes too WHITE. Where they don't shine is DARK.
HID's lighten up the WHOLE woods. They shine through the trees so you can see around corners.
One of my buds' lost his head lights once.
I drove it home with my bud with HID's behind me.
I didn't even need head lights. He kept trying to stay close & i kept trying to stay in front of him thinking he was pushing me. So we went faster & faster by default.
It was the FASTEST we ever got home.
The next day...........................................i ordered HID's.
Every single person who rode my Apex..............................................ordered HID's.
Unfortunately with my Sidewinder & my FJ-09, i'm stuck with LED's
P.S: Who remembers KC Highlighters? Big 44'' jumbo tires, 6'' lift & a chrome skull on the shift knob. OHHH the 80's were good

GUMBO MONSTER MUDDERS
The problem was, we lifted the the body & frame up, but did NOTHING with drivetrain.
So we blew axles, driveshafts & tranny's.
OHHHH the 80's
Now back to headlights.
The Sidewinder has what i believe to be the best STOCK lighting i've seen or ridden so far.
REVZILLA has a slew of Denali, Piaa & Givi lights that clamp on to bars stuff. They are very expensive though.

4300 light color cuts thru the snow instead of reflecting off of it. Makes it easier to see.
