I have been looking at buying a Phazer all season but did not due to various reasons and am wondering whether Yamaha normally offers some sort of incentive late season to get people buying or do they run programs to get you to go for the next years offerings. Here in Canada there is program running now until Feb 28, but what is likely from Yamaha after that date? I think many dealers do not have Phazers in stock anymore so it may be too late anyway, but those that do might be ready to offer great pricing as the season is about to end here in Ontario. Another thought is to wait and get a slightly used sled from someone that buys new each year or just did not like the Phazer.

You should be able to get a great price on one right now. I do see a couple left in showrooms in my area. One thing you can count on is that they will always go down in price from the fall rush. Talk to a dealer in your area.

I wonder if dealers read this website and if they do are they allowed to say they have this stock at that price? I'd like a blue FX if any dealers see this.

would really help if you can narrow it down on your whereabouts. I can check my dealer for you.
well there are a couple dealers on here you could pm them asking the price.I don't believe there are any Canadian dealers though.
Phazer
You can buy new ones in the US for $5100 or even $5000, so I can't see you getting a better price on a new one than right now. Dealerships and Yamaha have finally figured out its better to sell them at cost or a small loss, then to hold them over and pay the carrying costs. They have learned their lessons for all the original RX-1's that got held over for a year or two and three years in some cases.
My local dealer had eight Phazers when I last talked them and wanted $5100 for a regular and $5750 for an FX. You could buy the warranty and they are still cheaper than a snowcheck. Want $6400 for a new Nytro. All are out the door prices.

I doubt Yamaha is going to change the Phazer much for '08 (they might close off the hole in the tunnel and probably offer some different colors and graphics), so the price now is probably just about as good as its gonna get.
If you see a sled you want at a dealer now, you might get a slightly better price in the spring, but then again, that sled might not be there come spring.
The sled that you look at today and plan to buy tomorrow is the sled that someone elsed may have looked at yesterday and will buy today...

Wait for the release in a couple weeks... you should see a few people dumping the phazer, for something new...
