Hello all,
I'm new here, looks like a great forum. I'm looking to buy my first sled. After considering a lot of options it's came down to the 2005 RX1. I don't have a huge budget so two strokes seem like too much of a gamble to me. I could save $1000 or so by going to a 2003-2004 but from what I've read the suspension upgrades as well as valve seals makes the 2005 worth the extra $$. I found one for $3500 Canadian.. But it's got 20'000km. I've seen pics of guys with 40'000km on their OD, but how realistic is that on the motor. The guy knows all the history of the sled and says he has fixed any problems he has. Says its dealer maintained and he's got all the recipts etc.
Anyways do you guys think it's worth it to take a chance on a machine with this much mileage?
Other than the usual wear I've heard about in the rear end what else should I be looking for before I buy?
Thanks guys,
