Guys:
Anybody help me out on how to bypass the TORS? I searched the subject, but it says join the two single wires together in the harness on the right side of the headlight, but not sure.
I am changing handlebars, trying to clean up my controls and found 2 extra wires associated with the kill switch. Upon further inspection, its the TORS switch attached to the throttle lever pivot. Since I plan on using a different throttle setup and already have a tether, I don't need the TORS switch.
I am assuming that you can disable it by disconnecting the wires as it is a normally open (NO) switch, but not sure because the switch closes when you press on the throttle. I can see how it works if you roll over or freeze up and the throttle becomes stuck upon restart but not really sure.
Would appreciate any help on this one, as I don't really want to reinstall the Yami Throttle assemble on my new setup.
Thanks in advance.

All you have to do is plug the single white connector to the single black connector coming from the chassis harness to the handlebar harness on the left side above the clutches. They are in the rubber bundle. Easy and tors is gone!!!

Thanks Hyflyr:
Just wanted to confirm the wires should be connected. Kinda confused me because connecting wires is the same as the switch being "on" all the time. Thought it might be that on start up, the CPU might think the throttle is pinned, thus erroring out. Obviously TORS must use throttle position sensor too.
I would like to keep TORS if I could find a "smaller" throttle assembly. I'll have to look at the new XM, RMK or M. I guess all the companies are using similar systems. Haven't done the digging yet to see whats out there, but hopefully there is something that can work.
Thanks again

Cr racing make a very small throttle block, I use it and it's awesome. Very clean and simple. I would just run a tether system and be done with tors, it's really a silly system that can actually cause problems, not help.
