I took off the stock skis on my 2014 M8 and put on Powder Pros as everybody said buy them. Had I known what I know now I would have kept stock. The Powder Pros I could tell an improvement in deep powder but it made riding on packed snow or groomed roads feel heavy steering and it hunted the grooves, and the stock did not. I may yet put the stock back on. Even though the stock skis are very narrow they worked great for me....but I am only 160 pounds.
Now I know this may start a malestorm and that is not my intent, just figured some real world data even if it is my opinion might be of value.
It's not worth much to melol...
I use SLP Powder Pro's and they work awesome. The whole design of the keel is such that it allows for easier steering as it is bowed instead of being flat (among the many other design features).
Take a pencil and lie it flat on a table and then rotate it in a circle.
Now take the point of the pencil and rotate it on the point.
Tell me which rotates with less effort, the point of the pencil or when the pencil is flat on the surface. This is but one of the basic design concepts that make steering easier with this ski.. SLP Carbides are bowed just like the ski...
I've never experienced darting with them either.
Sorry man, not what I saw. I rode one whole day with stock then changed skis that night. Went out and rode same areas to get a real comparison. Powder Pros were heavy on the packed snow but better in powder. By powder I mean Colorado bottomless sugar like powder just to quantify. But I knew there would be disagreement as everybody has there favorite ski...glad you like yours.

C&A is great to deal with. Just call there and all your questions will be answered. They'll also send you stickers

Anybody have feedback if C&A XTX are darting in any ways?
What about the cornering on hard packed trails?
I would like to hear more about them, as they will be on my viper when I'll pick it up next week.
