Has anyone shimmed skis on the C&A pro skis? I've got 1200 miles on my sled, and the front before the carbide is wore pretty good, but overall carbides are in REALLY good shape considering the mileage. Figuring if I shimmed skis I'd see a great improvement in carbide life. Has anyone had good success in doing this on their sled, and how they went about shimming their skis!

I have just over 5000 miles on my C&A's with 6" shaper bars and mine are close to new looking. I have not shimmed mine. Is there a possibility you put the rubbers in backwards or maybe cheap skegs.

I'm running Woodys Doolys, 6 in carbides. Pretty positive my ski rubber is on correctly.

I would check the simple thing's first. Ski toe and ski pressure. Is it both runners or just the left one from riding the side of the road. I had slim jim doolies on my last viper with no issues.
