My thumb warmer is not working and sled is setting a C1600 code for a thumb warmer open circuit. I have checked all fuses and connections/connectors. Any advice?

my guess is that the wire has pulled away from the element. Mine did that for the low setting but high still works. Unfortunately, you can not solder it back on as the heat lifts the thin element away from the backing. If it was a short, I would think the fuse would blow.

There is no battery power at the connector. Checked with sled running and the element unplugged.my guess is that the wire has pulled away from the element. check if there is power at the switch. That will help you narrow it down where the wire is broken.

The issue was an open circuit within the thumb heating element.
