Saturday-Cadilac
If you must ride you can. I rode 80 miles on snow. Ice in corners but very ridable! About 18" of ice on the 2 big lakes with 2-3 on good snow cover, trucks parked on the lakes.
Sunday Kalkaska, starvation lake, Houghton lake 9:15 AM - First in the parking lot. We rode 170 miles today, best ride of the year, north from bear lake staging area 76-79-679 SUCKED!! We was heading back to load up, THEN the GROOMER past by! It was so good to the south of the trail head. Not a bump all the way to houghton lake. Broke trail 3/4 of the way, I would say 5"of snow over ice groomed trail. All I can say is smooth. Houghton lake had good snow cover, Ate some lunch, watched a little NASCAR qualifying. Headed back after a little shopping @ HACKERS, Time for some WOT on the lake. ( I think the guys I rode with had DAYTONA Restricter plates ) SMOKED THEM!! HAHA, Finished up by running north on SUNSET TRAIL. WOT all the way- smooooooooth & one other thing, I slept all the way home, 2.5 hrs. & could not wait to tell YA.
