OK, I am about half a split decision away from dropping a grand on the Bender Reaction rear skid for my 03 shorty. She's mint and still low miles. Rides decent with the upgrades I got, but that mono looks real tempting. I would really appreciate input from the guys that went through with the upgrade last season, although I know there wasn't much of a test on them with the poor snow conditions. I am planning on running this sled a good 3 or 4 more years. No real reason to sell it. Is it worth my money?? Thanks for the input.

I'm thinking about doing the same thing. Searching I found only two reviews and both were very positive.
If you can get a monoshock out of a 06 for cheaper it seems like a better deal until you read a little about the penske shock in the bender apparently its a VERY good shock compared to reg and would be a upgrade. dunno...

Seriously guys.. you should look into installing a different skid.. like a used polaris EDGE suspension or Cat skid..
You can pick them up cheap on ebay.. usually $250 and parts are easy to find..
i know many on here have added cat and pol skids and would be happy to help you do it

I just bought an 06 mono skid at a swap meet with 875 miles on it for $600.00 bucks and a reverse kit for my 03 $250.00 from same guy. He will most likely be at the Milwaukee snow show ans swap meet next month, might pay to check it out.
