Just had my phazer turboed mcx kit ,and im not to happy with how its running, the dealer put a diff clutch kit than the mcx kit because at our 3000' elv. it was running 15 psi and hitting the rev limiter?so with this other kit it engages at 6100rpm and runs at 12psi at 11,500 rpm.but the kicker is i took it to the mountains 8500' and you could feel the power loss as i was climbing,,pulling a hill it was running 5-8 psi and around 10,000 rpm??also had alot of lag for boondocking had to be doing 30 mph for the boost to even move??any sug.

Let me guess, the air filter is still under the plastic in the back? Get that thing out in the open and all will be well.

Also is your mcx exhaust still stock ? If so you might want to modify it.

thanks aksteepndep i will do that, which kind? and where do i find a kit to extend the air filter??and about the exhaust the dealer suggested a hindle pipe ,he said the mcx one caused to much back pressure?also i have a problem with it starting in temp below -15c so he is saying that my battery is probably below the 100% charge the efi needs to run properly.??so i am going to put in a new battery and see if that works..

what year is your phazer? 07 need a ecu update and decompression valve to help the cold starting issue ask your dealer its a warrenty item. You can make your own snorkel kit for your airfilter out of rubber hose and plastic pipe, and a larger airfilter will help also. Did you install your kit are did a dealer install the kit ? my sled never had the mcxpress updates installed and the charge tube was cracked because the header pipe didnt have a heatshield and header wrap installed. There are pictures on the prince george yamaha website that show the pipe wrapped. Also watch the coolant hose behind the gas tank it will rub on the valve cover and could rub a hole in the cover.

I used a 180 degree rubber hose bend i got from a local auto store on the air filter. I used the MCX filter with the prefilter and it is worlds better. This year I added heavy hitter clutch weights and it helped ALOT on the lag issue. I'm running 16 lbs and av gas this year at sea level
