Yeah, put it on it's side. You could always just have a friend come over and hold it up while you do your adjustments.....

I installed my skidplate with the front end lifted using the front bumper. I used a set of chainfalls and a nice wide heavy duty strap, along with a couple pullstraps for extra support.

Same I just jacked the front up and put the front end in the air, I have painted panels and there is no way i would put it on its side!

I just finished my skidplate and I hung it from the ceiling by the bumper.

I lifted mine up by the front bumber...
I am sure it is strong enough, just like any other sled
thats what you lift on to manouver the front end around when riding or getting unstuck I mean
