I understood that you could raise your rev limiter by 500 rpm without the code. Anything greater requires a code. Also the research I have done, you can raise it without the ignition module. But I have found it difficult to find information about it. When I think about it I had the new flash done this year and some people are saying yamaha increase the limit.

New flash certainly is a good possibility why it'll rev a bit more. Haven't heard myself that rev limiter can be raised without ignition module, some of the pc5 units can be purchased with a built in ignition module rather than a separate unit but to my knowledge that's only on twin cylinder engines. So as of now you're at 2-0-0-0 on the weights and 51/43 with purple spring? What primary spring again?

Yes you are correct, with a O-P-O primary spring
