Storing sleds for summer and did oil change(what a pain in the #*$&@ with drain plug on right side, oil everywhere), took battery out, lifted rear, but can't get belt off. Following manual but driven clutch won't turn under tension of belt. WTF am I doing wrong??? :rocks:

Well one thing you can do is lay it flat on the floor, and take a ratchet with a 12 mm socket and tighten the bolt on the secondary and it should turn and move in at the same time. Then while pushing in with your other hand push the belt into the sheeves and keep turning and pushing on the bolt and the belt. Pretty soon the belt will be far enough to take it off. If you don't understand that PM me and I'll give you my number and explain to you what to do. It's a little easier to tell you than to type it.

Elevate the front of the sled so the oil pours through the hole in the floor board into a oil pan and wipe down the floor board with a rag.

belt

Did you set the brake? After you get the helix turned you should have some slop in belt. I pull the belt around the sheave as far as it will go than I release the brake and try and rotate clutch and it usually slips off. With track off ground it works better

yes parking brake set but track not off ground. think I got ya, turn bolt on secondary(driven) to turn pully then push in on belt and it should slip off right.

I think it's easier with sled on the ground. So when you push on the helix you don't have to worry about the whole sled moving. It's really easy! Push and turn helix and while during that push belt in helping spread the sheeves. I never use brake either, it takes me like ten seconds to take off the belt. Hope you got it!

great video. is it done same way on viper? only problem is belt guard doesn't come off viper.

You don't need that off. Just loosen the Zeus clip, and there is plenty of room. Like I said you can use a 12 mm socket instead of moving the inner sheeve. That's why it's easier while on the ground cause you have to push in the helix and turn at the same time. Once you get it, it gets easier! I hated it at first, now it's a piece of cake.

Changing Oil - Drill a drain hole with a hole saw right threw the plastic, that's what I did! Drains right out to the floor.

btw, I have a belly pan protector that covers it. ;)!

Where did you drill the hole? There are two drains

After blowing 2 belts in the dark with no flashlight it is easy - the you tube video does not work cause of the belt guard.

Remove side panel and undo the dzuess fastener on the tank fascia and pull it out at the top. Just push on the helix (not the main bolt) while turning it counterclockwise. As it rotates pushe the blet down into the secondary with your left hand. Once it is down about an inch or better just pull the belt from the under side of the secondary clockwise around to p the top then off the primary.
