I am running a S/C at 10 psi on ashphalt.

Having trouble achiving full power at full throttle untill I let it of the bar 1/4".

I feel that the caeb slides are sticking in the carbs with boost pressure against them.

I am lookikng for a suggestion to fix this problem.

Help please.

It sounds like your main jets might be too rich or lean. Do you have a wideband?

Check if the carb slides lifts the same across. With the air box off, T together the tubes going to the slides and blow thru, the slides should lift equally across. If they stick you will know.

What does the engine sound like when on WOT not getting full power, any popping or burbling sounds apparent?

When boosted a WBO2 (AFR) system is mandatory, go and get it.

There are a few to choose from like:
AEM - http://www.aempower.com/ViewCategory.aspx?CategoryID=67

Innovate - http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/xcar ... 70d92f4c67
You can buy it from site sponsor Ted Jannetty at http://www.turboaddictionparts.com/catalog/

FJO - http://www.fjoracing.com/products/WBAFR/
You can buy it from TY Tech Advisor lakercr

I run the Innovate LC-1 with XD16 Display, have worked flawlessly for 2 seasons in my turbo sled.

All lift equally now that I have added a second hose to carbs 3 & 4.

The slides do not seem to be sticky on the bench, but I have read a few post that indicate the slides become sticky when the boost air in pushing against them.

When the carbs are on the bench it doesn't take much finger pressure to jam the slide against the back of the carb.

Not sure sure if this is what is going on, it is just a theory.

In addition, there is no popping or gurguling when no power a wide open throttle. There is just a lack of power.

Thanks,

Could be a faulty TPS - Throttle Position Sensor

If you run leaded fuel the NTK sensor seems to be the best from what I have read on here. Running leaded fuel is affecting sensor life no matter what sensor you run, NTK survives the longest. FJO WBO2 comes with the NTK sensor, it can also use the more inexpensive Bosch sensors. As far as I know most other WBO2 systems are designed to use the Bosch sensors, NTK have a different connecting plug if I remember it correctly.

did you replae the cheap plastic T's between the carbs with the good billet ones. Maxdlx

OK finally an update.

NOTE:

2003 RX-1
10 psi boost with MPI supercharger
custom asphalt suspention
running 1/4 mile

I installed an AEM wideband, and as suspected I was way too rich. 10.0 or lower.

Lowered the jet size to 132's and wideband at WOT now reads 11.5ish.

1/4 mile time went from 10.5 seconds @ 125 MPH to 9.87 @ 131 MPH

Let this be a lesson to all Wideband is manditory with boost.

All turbo and S/C kits should incude a widband, period!

A summer and a half messing with this thing and one run with a wideband tells all without guesswork. At least I learned alot about the sled and how the carbs really do work.

hanks to all who provided input to all my questions.

I'll second all you said on the WBO2.
I use to call the WBO2 my polygraph, the WBO2 don't lie, with a datalogger it only gets SO MUCH BETTER, for racing a datalogger is equally mandatory as the WBO2 itself, happy racing RX1DERFULL
