Carb Sync Tools on Backorder til March?

I tried to order a Motion Pro Carb Sync (mercury) manometer. Order was taken and then I was told that they are no longer available. I checked a second source and was told they are not available until March 07. I may have to get the gauge style. So, … Does the gauge style rig work as well as the mercury manometer?

My local yamaha dealer uses a Honda 4 gauge set to sync all their bikes as well as sleds. They would choose the gauges over the mercury manometer.

I got a Motion Pro tool on saturday. It's the pro tool and not the economy and it has mercury in it. That tool works awsome.

Len: I have 2 of them. Basically I used this one once. I handed it to my wife to hold while I put the vacuum lines back on the carbs and she laid it on the workbench. Well, guess what, all the mercury was shooting across the garage floor.

I bought a new one because I could not find any mercury. Since then I got a new sealed bottle of mercury.

It is the economy Motion Pro. If you think $40 plus shipping is a fair price let me know.

Shipping should not be too much, but if I declare a hazardous material it might cost an extra $20.

The Morgan Carb Tune 2 is four flow meters with stainless bobbers[ no mercury]. I used my sons and he said he paid $110 canadian , shipping in. Not sure , but may have come from the UK. He found it on the internet.
Sure was a piece of cake to use.
