this is kind of dumb but I'm reading the service manual and I can't figure out which carb is which, when you're sitting on the sled does it go like this
1 2 3 4 or 4 3 2 1
I'm synchronizing the carbs tomorrow so a fast response will be appreciated

I beleive 1 is by the clutch. If you do a search there is a lot of good info on how to do the sync on the carbs.

thanks for the quick response
Why would it matter what number the carbs are?... the vacume-mate or whatever other tool your using won't care.

Looking at the yamaha parts page,it looks like #1 is on the left side looking at the sled from the front.
