Can anyone remember the chain case mod, for the 06-07 apex that ran a bolt thru the case to strenghtened the adjuster mounting stud. It has been a while can't quite remember. Thanks :dunno:

well that will cover it, wasn't sure if you drill and tap the stud or drill all the way thru and nut on the back side of case???Has any one done this successfully.

My 08 40th and my 07 RTX have different chain case covers.. 40th has 2 extra 10mm bolts. One on the chain tensioner shaft the other on the reverse gear shaft... all they are are drilled holes with the bolts having a small rubber washer for sealing... (now i'm trying to remember if my RTX just has 1 less bolt....)

I know this is an old post but does anyone have any dimensions for the shim that is reqiured between the post and the cover?

Busted off the chain tensioner pivot stud while removing 36mm top gear nut. was hoping to find more info on how to repair, but this thread is all i can find. JB weld doesn't work, i'm embarrassed to say

One option might be to contact Travis at Barn of Parts about getting a used back half of the chain case cover and not have to worry about it possibly breaking again.
