local yammi dealer is out of chain case oil. I would like to accomplish this task this weekend. Anybody use somthing else other than yammi lube in their chaincase? If so what and where do I get it? Thanks!

I used amsoil before and found it to become very thick almost like syrup by the end of the season. I switched over to Shell advance synth. chain case oil and never had a problem. Also this was on my doo not a yamaha just bought the yanaha.

I used Amsoil 2000 also.
It was quite thin and did allow the gunge build up to evacuate when drained.
Side note, the magnetic drain plug I used in the chain case did a very good job of trapping all the fine metal particles.

Amsoil series 2000 has proven itself to me Iactually ended up with no fluid in my chaincase for 1100 miles and the Amsoil still kept it protected. Very long story and I thought I was going to be replacing bearings, chains and gears but the Amsoil did what it claimed! I am sold forever!
