I searched back 18 pages and couldn't find anything on the subject. Had the sled out yesterday for a ride and code sd-42 comes on and the speedo was stuck on 261 mph, I know theses things are fast but, come on!! LOL. Pulled over and the magnet had fallen out of the chain case pocket. Put it back in with some duct tape and rode remainder of the day with no issues. What is go to glue or adhesive for reinstalling theses magnets? I have 3M trim adhesive and thinking of using that. Any thought's or info? Thanks

I used permatex ultra black on mine and a buddy of mine used red high temp silicone on his and both seem to holding on. I would think as long as it can resist oil residue and some heat you should be good

The magnets are in the end of the shaft inside the chaincase. That's the sensor that's fallen off..... maybe that's why you couldn't find info on it.

Thanks fella's.
I asked Mr. Google and found past post's on TY. I used the 2 part adhesive I had left over from my rear heat exchanger guard install. That now is a minor issue. In the process of fixing the speedo censor I noticed the chain case sight glass was 1/2 filled. Well you can add me to the ""INNER CHAIN CASE CRACKED"" list!!!
