I picked up a 2003 rx1.I was checking the chain case and it is over like 3 times the amount.Way Way past the full mark.Should i be concerned of damage.I do not see any leaks.And how much fluid will it take.it has reverse. thanks

there is a 12mm drain bolt insude the tunnel to drain the chaincase. it will hold aprox. 200ml. use 75-90 synthetic if you can. check level when done. one side of dipstick has marks for reverse level, the other for standard.

My ER came filled from the factory to the STD mark. I have run it that way from the get go w/o any problems.
If it is not leaking out and the level is someplace between the REV and STD marks, you are good to go.

Mine came from the factory filled to the standard line too.Thats how i always have ran it.being fuller than that shouldnt hurt anything,unless it was real full then it might push the seals out.

Won't push the seals out, if anything, it might ooze out the vent, which is molded into the rubber plug on the dipstick.
