Chaincase slop

Had my first ride on my new to me 06 vector ER, impressed with the sled, need to dial in the suspension but that will take some time.....the question I had was when I grab the secondary clutch and rock it back and forth, it seems to turn about 2-3 inches either way before the chain takes up the slack, I adjusted the chain tension but it did not seem to make a difference,...is this normal?......sled has less then 500 miles on it.

All the rs sleds do this its normal, nothing to worry about.
