Although the original hyfax were still in good shape, I replaced them today with a pair of graphite slides. I was worried about getting the wide hyfax through the track windows but thought I'd give it a try before cutting a window or loosening the track. Sprayed the hyfax and window with WD40 and the job was as easy as any other sled I've done. Slipped right through and I never loosened the track tension. Just FYI but probably old news to most of you.

Thanks, good to know, as I will be doing mine soon, if not this weekend... ;)!

How far did you let yours wear down before changing them??

Bought them from the dealer this time for 14.00 each and they fit as is. I usually get a/m for less and cut and bevel them but I was placing an order for other things so I just added them to it.

Would the slides come out of the windows on my Nytro do you think?
I sweat they look too wide.
I will be replacing mine with yellows this weekend.
I just dont think they will fit through the windows.

Same track and slides on the two sleds.

It was way too early to replace mine as well. Just figured I'd get it over with since I had the new parts. There was one spot near the rear that was close to half worn but the reast was in great shape.

I just studded my sled and checked the slides over closely. They looked fine with 2450 miles from last season. Got a new set at the Fall Show just in case. WIth the current snow forecast for Michigan going to be tuff to get many miles this season if it don"t start snowing soon.

I just changed mine yesterday.
Pretty easy to do.
Just did like twomorestrokes said, and took them out and in the windows.
Kinda tight with a litte prying and stretching, I got them.
Also did my handlebar update, wired heated shield plug, and installed a 12v plug.
Sure wish we were all riding rather than having all this time to mod our sleds.
