I was refered to Kevin at Port for the jackshaft bearing update, He was very helpful. I had a drive bearing poop out at 7500 miles the last ride of the year, So with the sled torn down, im doing all new bearings including the 04 jackshaft bearing update, and the complete chaincase, im not gonna chance it, the bearings have paid for themselves already, why not fresh ones???

Both Len. Is the other bearing you speak of in the chain case?

There is one bearing on each end of both shafts. For the drive shaft, the Mag side bearing is deep in the chaincase behind the Drive Gear. For the Jackshaft, the Mag side bearing is much more accessible. But it is also inside the chaincase. Once you take out the gears a few times, you will see it is fairly quick and easy to get at both of these bearings. You just have to remember the order of the parts and watch to ensure the shim washer and spring are back in correctly, if you have reverse. There are some really good pics and instructions on this site to address opening and closing a chain case.

What is the bearing part number on the clutch side. I have 93306-20650-00 that I found in the online parts catalog for both 03 and 04. Is this correct?

I have an MPI tunnel on my sled (early edition). The bearing looks totally different than those in the article. Anybody have the part number for that bearing?
When I tear into it, I will try to get pics of it and post if no one knows what it is.

You can look up part numbers Click here.
For example, on my '04 RX1ER:
93306-20589-00 BEARING = Drive Shaft PTO Side (You have to go to the Track Drive 1 figure to get this)
93306-20650-00 BEARING = Jackshaft PTO Side (You have to go to the FRAME figure to get this.)
