Have the 2500s coming for my phazer XTX...I am a big guy and the 1700s on it from the factory sink to almost the ground and do not come back up when I get off.
I know how to change torsions on my Polaris...never done it on a Yamaha. What is involved and is it tough enough I am better off to pay the dealer $75 to do it?
Thanks guys!

It is fairly simple.
Follow the springs to the end by the rail. There is a black plastic "hook" that the end of the spring goes into. Lift the spring up to take the pressure off the plastic hook and rotate it forward. You will then be able to remove the tension on the spring by lifting the end up and over the wheel.
Before the next step check to see if you are able to see the 2 dots that should be lined up. It is on the drop down bracket on the attaching point (by the splined portion) and the rear suspension arm that it is attached to. If you can not see the mark make sure to make a mark so that you are able to line it back up in the proper spline.
Drop the 2 rear mounting points for the skid, remove the allen key bolt. Remove the drop down bracket and the spring will slide out.

Do I need to release tension on the track in order to get the skid back in? Does anyone have any pics of what is being described?
Thanks.
Thanks.

You should not need to take the skid out. Just the back 2 mounting points.

If you go to the top of the phaser main page. You will see a thread on torque specs. There are breakdown picture that should help you.
