Changing Plugs HELP!!

k ive done this about 6 times so ill try to go from memory. all you need it a philips head screw driver, pair of needle nose, and a 10 and 12 mm socket with extensions.

first pull off the headlight cover, pull up by the handlebars, will take a little but will pop out then pull it toward the back of the sled to remove (has 2 slots that help hold it).

then remove the plastice peices on the side of the cover, 2 panels are identical on each side, i think its 3 10mm bolts for each cover, 2 on the side (visable) and one that was under the headlight cover you just took off

then use your needle nose and remove the cotter pins that are on the end fo the headlight adjuster bolts. then use the philips to take out the headlight adjuster screw. make sure not to looseo the pins or the springs.

then use a 10mm and take off the 2 bolts that hold the seat on, they are silver and kinda long. slide the seat toward the rear of the sled to remove it.

then back to the front. remove the plastic that goes from you gas tank cap to the front, also houses you ignition switch, dont forget to unplug the ignition. you ahve to take the cap off the tank to remove this peice. also 2 10mm bolts ont eh tank to remove it.

then time to take off the gas tank, first take out the 2 12mm (i think) nuts at the back of the tank. then gently pull up the tank and move it back about 2-3 inches, then remove you main fuel line at the front (clutch side, very short line and you need the needle nose to get it off) then unplug the fuel gauge (right in the middle of the tank on top) also remove that fuel line. then i belvie their is one other plug.

then you can remove the tank.

then to change the plugs you need a allen head. its pretty self explanitory.

hope this helps, i think i got everything.

I am sure someone have.
I did it out in the snow, not to change plugs but to check something else. It is pretty easy, you have to take off the seat, snap off the black headlight cover, loosen the side covers that are attached to headlight and secure fuel lines and electric connections and unbolt and lift off tank. Just don't drop any bolts or nuts down in the engine compartment !!!!!!!!

Sounds good, thanks, seanmurphy26 and teerex for your input. Sledders helping sledders, that's what's great about this site!!!!
