I have not looked at the job yet, do you have to pull the skid to take out the rear axle?
Thanks Bruce

no you do not. you just need to back the track adjusters all the way off. brother always installs his rear skid with it removed as it is easyer that way.

Thanks for the info. I might try removing for skid change. Never a fun job.

I did mine trail side last winter after both my outside wheels fell off within 2kms of each other. Just loosen the adjusters all the way and everything will slide right out. We actually had to do this on two sleds because I had to borrow the center wheel out of my buddy's Apex to use along with my center wheel on the outsides...

Cheap wheels.
That is crazy. In some aspects they are the best sled on the snow. Then they put on crap idler wheels and no hand warmers after how many years?
I love my sled, but this is the stuff that makes a guy starting to look elswhere.
Not only are the wheels junk, the price you have to pay to replace them is wrong. They either need to change the design or reduce the price on them.

Re: Cheap wheels.
I gotta be honest..the wheels came off after about 8000kms...Now, it was at a bad time but I should have changed them out. I'm more ticked about having to buy an entire wheel because you can change the bearings! I just finished switching all my wheels to the pre 05 yamaha wheel and I put a 4th in the rear too so I've always got a spare lol.
