So on my turbo'd sled i'll be changing out my drivers for anti ratchet drivers. on the 07 RTX do they have a 1 1/16 drive axle? SLP says If you want a tighter fit the 1's can be pressed on. When I bought my sled the guy showed me the old anti ratchet ones and they where pretty rough, the drivers almost spun around the axle. Do you guys think I should go with the tighter application since these have to be pressed on anyway? I feel like the tighter application would be better since I am running about 10 pounds of boost at around 250hp and the guy had up to 400hp with nitrous.

I don't know if you can press those drivers on a bigger shaft, you can get a shaft and drivers from a 10 and newer Apex, and put that in. The shafts are bigger and come with extro's drivers.
my shaft broke on the last ride of the season and I went with the HD Ulmer shaft with Wahl Brothers anti ratchet drivers installed from Ulmer. I would recommend getting the correct drivers for the diameter of the shaft, even better call Allen and he will set you up.
I haven't even started tearing mine down yet. I also need to replace the headers.

No, you have to cut shaft, drill and tap new threads, on the case side. Easy upgrade.

So my options are to get a better axle with extros for 180 plus shipping or just get the drivers for 165 plus shipping. What is the diameter of the '10 shafts and what makes them better?

i think they are 1/4 inch over sized from perviuos years and that is enough that they dont break. I would get the better axle with extros for the 180

I would work with barn of parts again in a heart beat. he did very well for us when we were in a pinch and needed parts for a trip and even got them to the location where we were in enough time to save the trip.

So my new options are staying with the 07 drive axle and getting 8t extroverts or getting the beefier '10 axle and having 9t extros.. I have a 144" expert x with 2" paddles and the fit isssss tightttttt. What to do what to do.

with 2" paddle, my recommendation is for the 8 tooth extros.
