Should I remove the factory pop rivets that hold the bearing retainer plate in the chassis and just slide the shaft out with it on behind the bearing or is there some other trick to get it off? I have loosened the two set screws on the bearing already.
BTW the chain case is already removed and the axle is ready to slide toward the hole behind the case if the PTO bearing was not holding me up.
Thanks in advance

I had the same problem, I managed to get a gear puller on it and it pulled easily off.

Great idea I must be a little sleep deprived working at this at night.
Update the gear puller did the trick. I am on the assembly stage working for the weekend.....
