I just bought this unit a few weeks ago and have been trying to figure out why it stopped charging....I went for a quick ride and the lights went all dim and I barely made it back to the shop....I have checked all the fuses etc....everything is fine...this machine has a Bender Stage 2 turbo on it but that should have no bearing on the basic machine's charging system...Is there something I am missing here...Are RX 1's prone to the stators failing....It looks to me like the stator should be somewhere on the right side of the machine behind the oil tank...Has anyone else ever had this kind of thing happen to them?...any help would be appreciated

Check the connectors on the voltage regulator up in the nose of the sled. They can corrode so bad that they are no longer making contact with the regulator and will not charge the battery.

mine did something similar when the battery died. I had to pull start it and the gauge and lights were flickering. New battery fixed it.
Check that your voltage regulator wiring didn't rub through in the nose of the sled.
I have a stator and voltage regulator from an 03 rx1 if you need one.
