Chat Night Poll

Ultimately, it will be up to the boss which night we do this during this season but I thought it would be a good idea to get a feel for what night the majority has open. Chat night regulars may get more weight for their vote.

Last season it was Thursdays @9pm Central, 10pm Eastern. The time will likely stay the same and the three days are chosen to avoid the weekends and any long weekends for guys that are off sledding.

I like Thursdays but would like the time to be an hour sooner I'm usually heading for bed at 10pm.

Why not have it 2 nights for those that can't make it just one set night?

People have different work schedules or plans or sled trips,life,kids,sleep,work on sleds etc..

Why not just open the pool whenever guys want to jump in for a dip?

Or does this pool have to be supervised by an official TY lifeguard for those that may get a little rowdy or for the first timers who may jump into the deep end over their heads?

Certain members need not be in the pool for others to chat and mabey learn something.

Most guys know something or can direct another to a link or in a better direction to find an answer.

Mabey 2 mods supervise 2 different nights.
To avoid overcrowding on one night the guys on say tuesday really don't need to come back on wednesday.
Yes take a break and give other guys a chace.

Being less crowded may bring out more chatters as they would be less
shy to join in.

Yam, there is no moderating during chat. Only reason to set a night is for consistency. There have been several occasions when a member posts up they'll be in chat. If you can't make the time or date, throw a post up letting others know you'll be there. It gets pretty crazy at times, but it's a great way to connect with others from around the TY family.

Yes I thought anyone could chat at anytime.I've seen the postings.
Just wondered about wanting to nail down a certain day again.

Many apparently don't realize chat can be done anytime not just a certain day.

Once a day is chosen mabey at the top in the directory it could be listed
as one of the following.

Now its displayed as - TY Chat

Change to- Wednesday TY Chat

or even- TY Chat Wednesdays 9 Central

In my opinion, earlier in the week is better as most of my Thursday night will be used for weekend preparations...Also, if you manage to get an advice during the chat, for instance regarding a clutch setup, you would like to get the time to install it before the coming weekend...?

That is a good idea.

Chats are kinda like TY rides. If you don't plan them ahead of time, no one shows up. If some of us keep a regular night, there is almost always enough members to have a few laughs.

And yes, the chat room is always 'open', just might be no one there but yourself . If other members want to set up another regular night, I'm sure that some of the 'official' night members will drop in at both.
