I have a freebie Magellan Explorist 100, it works fine for getting me back to the truck but it can't recall my top speed. Or maybe it can.
Anyone know of another cheapie that can save my max MPH?
Thanks

The Garmin Legend Cx is a really nice unit that's not too expensive. It can keep track of your top speed and you can install trail maps on it.

the garmin 60scx is 346.00 at wal-mart almost 100.00 cheaper than anywhere else
Cheapest? My very first Lowrance iFinder Go model saved max speed, if that's the only feature you want.
They are $79 brand new full retail price, and cheaper in many locations. Grab used ones off Ebay for $30 all day long. Actually was an amazingly nice little unit considering the super low price. Very accurate and bullet-proof. Comes with a basemap of major roads and worked well until I decided to upgrade to one with color screen that would take map downloads.
