Finally went to check out the RX-1 Warrior.. Are these machines in km's or miles? Which ever one it is, it only has 1472 of them.. Machine looks very clean, and I was about to make an offer when I found something which I considered bad. By the looks of it, he hit something hard enough on the sway bar linkage that he bent the linkage, sway bar, and broke the aluminum exit for the sway bar on the aluminum bulkhead. Now, the sway bar is replaceable, and a perfect time to update to the 13mm, but what about the aluminum exit on the bulkhead. Is this weldable?? He would like to get $5500 CND, but didn't realize the sway bar problem..

Bottom line.. Is this sled worth an offer?

Thanx.. BigJonny ;)!

I bought my 04 warrior with 800km for $5200 cnd 3 years ago as far as the problem with bulkhead sorry i can't help.

Price is too high with that damage....

Odometer is probably in KM so miles will be 6/10ths of the KM's, about 900 miles

Might be worthwhile to have the seller send you a pic of the damage to post here for others to comment on. The bulkhead can be welded but I think that some situations warrant a replacement - which can either be a bit pricey or cost a bunch of your time if you do it yourself.

pics would help.

I dont know how bad the break is, but i would think you could weld the bulkhead and re drill it..

How much is that in US dollars?

Either can be selected.

I'd say your looking at a thousand dollar reduction in price minimum. If its a doable fix! New sway bar, linkage, welding and labor.

Question is what about the rest of the area effected? You noticed damage but did you notice it all? What about the A arm attached to the linkage? Etc! Can you get a local shop to look it over? Can you get a welder to look at it?

I'd say price is too high!

I just fixed a bulked failure on a friends Apex. To weld the sway arm piece (assuming the missing piece is still there) requires the removal of the bulkhead. Welding this material with it in place would damage much of the surrounding material. This is a job that can be done if you have some ability working on mechanicals, but it is very involved. I agree with an earlier post, I would expect a $1000 cut in price.

Thats a nasty thing to fix, do able but a PITA. That cast aluminum is TOUGH to weld and hard to find guys that are good at it.

Price is too high for that damage.

I have welded the cast aluminum fram on my 07 phazer. I used a mig welder and had no problems. it was not hard to weld
