The snowboard helmet came with a good set of goggles and the sides of the helmet come down over his ears and are insulated. A scarf around his face keeps him nice and toasty. It is actually warmer than the moto-cross style helmet with goggles. We only go for relativly sort rides. 80KM round trip on decent days and I keep the speed low.

Im looking to buy an Equinox for my 2 yr old daughter this year. Im going to look into the snowboard helmets being she will already be seat belted in.
