When you change your oil, you should remove the screen and clean it. The screen is located right next to your drain plug on the oil tank. It is inside of the 90 degree nipple. Remove the hose clamp, hose and 2 allen bolts. Then just remove and clean. There is a o-ring for sealing. Make sure that the o-ring is aligned properly before tightening. Reassemble in reverse. Fill with oil and you are done. I was shocked at the amount of debris on the screen. Good luck!

I cleaned my screen on my RX for the first ime @ 6000 miles. It was very clean BEFORE I removed it and cleaned it.

2000 miles. There was lint on the screen, not enough to plug it, but more than you would expect for only 2000 miles. I do not know where it came from. I am a maintenance freak.

Thanks Oak Hill,
Just cleaned mine today during an oil change. (8,600 miles)
I did find quite a bit of trash in the bottom 1/3 of the screen, which has probably been there since manufacturing.
There was not enough trash to impede oil flow.
The screen is about 3" long.
Good piece of info!
