My engine block on my Nytro is oxydized along with all the other aluminum under the plastics. I guess the guy I bought it from never used covers when trailering or in the back of his truck.
What can I use to clean or polish to get rid of the white powder stuff and corrosion?

I always cover mine , in the trailer or on the truck and in still dirty as hell under the plastics. I would like to clean it up but so many electronics I don't want to go washing the engine to much.

WD40 does a fairly good job. Helps reduce the moisture and retards further corrosion.

I am aware of the WD40 wonders, but i hate the smell it leaves, If i did all the under hood with it I would go nuts, some might burn off the motor sure but not everything!
Good to pass along though!ViperTurboPete

Sounds good. I will try WD40 and some steel wool.
If you used steel wool make sure it is stainless. You
will be dealing with rust stains as well as corrosion if
you don't. And there is magnesium valve covers and
chain cases involved, They oxidize much worse than
aluminum and just the mist from road salt attacks them. Takes a covered trailer to keep it off.

I use plain silicone spray lube on my engine. Works well. Have used it for years on quads and such to keep the dirt/ mud from sticking to the motor. Also wont hurt electrical componentd
