Why does my primary clutch have a chatter at idle. IT has been doing it since new? What can I do to quite this

Nothing. There's been scads of posts on this and the answer is always the same. Live with it. Its just an annoyance it does no damage to the clutch or any part of the sled.

some have fixed, temporarily with plastic washers but usually comes back... mine did. Ive learned to live with it.....

lol buddy picked up a used xtx and it was his biggest concern. im like i dont think mine does that...turn key...oh yeah guess it does!
his was a bit louder then mine, and against my recomendations he sprayed a little fluid film on the bolts where its allowed to move and it quieted it down to my level. i dont really recomend oil in the clutch/belt area but if it seems really annoying you can do this and it will help dull some of the noise of the weight bolts vibrating around.

As long as their is nothing wrong, I don't mind but it was a concern I had not to mention other people on the trail were asking me about it on a new sled.

Tell the others they won't hear it when they're behind you trying to catch-up.

You could alwas put on a pol. primary from hartmen performace . You dont even hear it after while
