Never had the wet foot problem myself, but I bought it more because the stock guard crumpled like an accordion when my belt blew last year. I figured it was cheaper protection than having to replace the plastics if it happened again.

Have you closed out the hole going from your tunnel by the drivers into the clutch area with a bolt yet? That was my biggest cause of my wet foot. That and close off the toe hole vents. I'm pretty good now without any plates installed. Without that bolt in,water use to pour out of the toe hold down area catch the wind, instant wet leg/wet foot

I didn't see it till this summer myself. Look in the nytro faqs, left wet foot. They must have added to it in that post. Its a bolt hole in the cast frame that will let snow/water directly into the clutchs. Its under the primary right on the line of the bottom plastic trim piece. Bolt with neoprene washers, fixed 90% of my wet foot.

It works great. I had to replace the OEM one as it was trashed after the belt blew south of wolverine area. Thicker meta,l so I would think it will work if the belt blows again.

I made my own belt guard. Close to the SB one. Plugged the hole under the clutches and it doesn't solve the wet foot problem. What causes the wet foot problem is all the heat coming out of the side panels hitting your leg and then the snow hitting your warm leg and boot . It melts and causes your wet problem. On the trail I have no wet foot, playing in powder foot is wet. What I tried last weekend was spraying my boots and pants with water repellent and it helps a lot. Probably have to spray them every once in a while. I will do this until I can swing another $1000 for a Klim suit and boots.
